PSA Grading Submission FAQs
Is Card Gorilla accepting PSA Value submissions?
Yes. While PSA has temporarily paused certain Value service levels due to increased submission volume, Card Gorilla will continue accepting Value submissions in advance of PSA reopening those tiers. Customers submitting Value-level orders through Card Gorilla will not be required to pay grading fees until PSA officially resumes accepting those service levels.
How does Card Gorilla grading work?
When you purchase grading for a card pulled in a Card Gorilla break, we securely hold the card, prepare it for submission, send it to PSA, track the process, and return the graded card once it comes back.
Can I ship my card(s) to Card Gorilla for grading?
Yes. If we do not already have your card from a Card Gorilla break, you can still use our grading service.
Simply place your grading order first, then ship your cards to:
Card Gorilla – Grading
4327 S Highway 27
Suite 549
Clermont, FL 34711
Please include your order number inside the package so we can properly match your cards to your submission.
Card Gorilla is not responsible for items lost or damaged during inbound shipping. Please package securely and consider using tracked and insured shipping.
When do I need to purchase grading?
Grading should be purchased before your break cards ship. Once your cards are packed or shipped, grading may no longer be available for that card and you would need to ship the card back in order to use the service.
Does Card Gorilla guarantee a PSA grade?
No. PSA determines the final grade. Card Gorilla cannot guarantee any specific grade, gem rate, or grading outcome.
Are PSA turnaround times guaranteed?
No. Turnaround times are estimates only and may change based on PSA volume, service level, holidays, delays, or other factors outside of Card Gorilla’s control.
What happens if PSA upcharges my card?
If PSA applies an upcharge based on declared value, final assessed value, or service level requirements, the customer is responsible for paying that additional fee before the card is returned.
What is declared value?
Declared value is the estimated value of your card at the time of submission. PSA may use declared value to determine the correct service level and insurance requirements.
How will I know the status of my card?
Card Gorilla offers a built-in grading tracker inside your account, so you can follow your card every step of the way.
From the moment we receive your card to the day it ships back as a slab, you’ll see status updates like:
- Received
- Submitted
- In Grading
- Grades Ready 👀
- Shipping Back
No guessing. No chasing updates. Everything is tracked for you.
When will my graded card ship back?
Your graded card will ship back once it is returned from PSA and any remaining balances, including upcharges or return shipping if applicable, are paid.
